Note on Lineage

I trained at the Hōbyōkan, which is not an official line of Kashima Shinden Jikishinkage-ryū. After moving to Seattle, I worked independently with a small number of people in order to keep my kenjutsu practice intact. In particular, I am not endorsed by surviving Jikishinkage-ryū groups in Japan.
