This fall I moved to Seattle and I am enjoying the city and climate. I appreciate the moderate temperature compared to the midwest, the clean air compared to the east coast, and the views of the Cascade mountains and the Puget sound. I can feel the sea and the view of the city center on the other side of Lake Union from Gas Works Park bring peace and calm.
I travelled back to Pittsburgh in August and October for continued training, learning more about Taiji Quan spear and getting feedback and corrections on my Taiji, Xingyi, and Bagua. I plan to continue regular trips for additional feedback, correction, and training.
I also visited Bellingham, to meet a colleague in Yin Cheng Gong Fa who has a school there, and Portland to work on Jiki Shinkage-ryu kenjutsu with a colleague from the Hobyokai. This weekend there will be a seminar in Princeton, New Jersey on Taiji Quan and Bagua Dao. I recommend the event to anyone interested in improving their skill at Taiji Quan and Bagua Zhang.
